Behind Every Creative Is a Story
I come from an era where dry Weet-Bix and Marmite was all we had in the cupboard. First in, first served.
Where going to the Hokohoko — the second-hand shop — lit up my eyes, because one man’s junk was another man’s treasure.
When you grow up with not much, you learn to see differently. You learn to create from whatever is in front of you.
My childhood was bright and bold — and sometimes dark and mysterious. Leaving home at the tender age of eleven, life happened fast.
My observation of life, of colours, of people, became expressive art.
From Aotearoa to overseas, through lived experiences that shaped me, one thing remained constant — my identity. My whakapapa. My stylez.

My strength is not as an individual, but as a collective.
I wanted to share the talent that was within me with other wāhine who want to represent, stand tall, and be proud of where we come from.
Creative wear became my expressive way of being uniquely me — representing whatever my imagination travelled. No limits — trippy, sporty, classy, eccentric, mysterious, culturally infused.
Through wearable artistic pieces, I could express without speaking. It was MY statement.
Every piece carries its own mana. Wearing my unique pieces is your statement to the world that YOU exist, YOU matter, and YOU are a representation of an Indigenous, elegant woman.
